What we believe

At Dominion In Christ International Ministries We Believe…

The Bible is the inspired Word of God, a revelation from God to man, the infallible rule of faith and conduct (II Timothy 3:15-17; Hebrews 4:12).

There is one Godhead comprising three separate persons:  the Father, Jesus Christ the Son who is God manifested in the flesh and the Holy Spirit (John 1:1-18; 16:28; 15:26).

Man was created perfect and upright until he sinned, for God said, “Let Us make man in Our image, after Our likeness; let them have dominion.”  (Genesis 1:26-31; 3:1-7).

In God’s original plan for mankind He created the institution of marriage whereby a man and woman would enter into a lifelong relationship. (Genesis 2:20-25; Matthew 19:4-6).

Man’s only hope of redemption is through the shed blood of Jesus Christ. For by grace we are saved through faith.  “If you confess with your mouth Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart  ... you shall be saved.”  (Romans 3:24; Ephesians 2:8; Romans 10:8-10).

Baptism by immersion should be observed by all who have accepted Jesus as Saviour and Lord.
(Matthew 28:19; Acts 10:47-48; Romans 6:4).

All believers should receive the Baptism of the Holy Spirit. With it comes the endowment of power and the gifts for the work of the ministry. This is distinct from the new birth and is initially evidenced by speaking with other tongues (Acts 1:8; 2:1-4; I Corinthians 12:1-31).

Since the Garden of Eden, God’s intention is that both men and women would have joint dominion over the affairs of the earth. This includes the work of the ministry. It is His will that both His sons and daughters will prophesy. We see Deborah as a prophetess, judge and ruler of Israel. Priscilla and her husband both pastored a New Testament church and they both provided instructions to guide Apollos. There is neither male nor female in Christ Jesus (Genesis 1:27-28; Acts 2:17-18; Judges 4:4-5; Acts 18:24-26; 1 Corinthians 16:19; Galatians 3:28).

The Christian Sabbath is rest in Jesus Christ. The weekly seventh-day Sabbath, which was given to Israel in the Ten Commandments, was a shadow that pointed to the reality–Jesus Christ (Hebrews 4:3, 8-10; Matthew 11:28-30; Colossians 2:16-17).

God’s plan is for his people to enjoy total life prosperity:

(a)    Spiritual – John 3:3, 11; II Corinthians 5:17-21; Romans 10:9-10

(b)    Mental – II Timothy 1:7; Romans 12:2; Isaiah 26:3

(c)    Physical – Psalm 103:3; Isaiah 53:4-5; Matthew 8:17; I Peter 2:24

(d)    Financial – 3 John 1:2; Malachi 3:10-11; Luke 6:38; II Corinthians 9:6-15; Deuteronomy 28:1-14

(e)    Social – Proverbs 3:4; 22:29

Jesus is coming again to gather all His Saints to ever be with Him (I Corinthians 15:51-52; I Thessalonians 4:16-17; II Thessalonians 2:1). Heaven is the chosen dwelling place of God and the destination of all God’s redeemed children. (Matthew 6:9; Acts 7:55-56; John 14:2-3; Revelation 21:3-4). Those who have not accepted the redemptive work of Jesus Christ shall be consigned to everlasting punishment. This is the second death, the lake of fire (Revelation 19:20; 20:10-15).
